NIC 2025 - Nordic Intercultural Communication Conference

Nordic Network for Intercultural Communication, Helsinki, Finland, 13-15 August

The University of Helsinki, and its Department of Culture in the Faculty of Humanities, is happy to welcome you to Helsinki for the 2025 meeting.

NIC Helsinki 2025 will take place in 13-15 August 2025 in the main building of the university, downtown Helsinki.

Once our website is up and running, we will begin the advertising for the conference. The paper submission opens in February and closes in April 2025.

The conference theme is “Evolutions in intercultural communication: New concepts and methodologies”. We have invited two keynote speakers who have kindly accepted our invitation:

Dr. Giuliana Ferri from the University College London (Institute of Education) and

Dr. Hanne Tange from Aalborg University (Department of Culture and Learning)

We are looking forward to meeting you, hopefully feeling relaxed after your summer vacations, and motivated for interesting, topical, and relevant academic discussions on intercultural communication.
