Abstract
Starting with examples of a range of applications which would benefit from
a powerful tool for information visualization and exploration, the report
suggests three important modules of such a tool, vz. multi-dimensional
analysis, visualization, and human-computer interaction. The importance of
the integration of these three modules is especially emphasized. A short
introduction to multi-dimensional analysis is given with the focus on
clus ter analysis. In connection to this, visualization is discussed and,
briefly, human-computer interaction.
